By the end of the “Fundamentals of 3D Fashion Using Browzwear” course, participants will comprehensively understand 3D fashion design and visualisation using Browzwear software. Throughout the course, participants will master Browzwear Software, develop proficiency in operating Browzwear and gain familiarity with its interface, tools, and features, including: Digital Garment Creation: Learn the essential techniques for creating 3D digital garments, including pattern making, fabric selection, and virtual sewing. Fit and Visualisation: Learn how to achieve accurate virtual garment fit, drape and movement, allowing for realistic simulations and visualisations. This course aims to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in 3D fashion design using Browzwear, making them valuable assets in the fashion and apparel industry.

3D Printing: From Idea to Reality

We generate ideas every day. Through 3D printing technology, we can facilitate the realisation of our ideas without going through the tedious process of achieving them as an end product. This hands-on interactive workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to understand how to generate, design and produce their products. Students will explore and understand the technology, concepts and processes of 3D Printing from idea to printed end product. Upon completion, participants will be able to understand and differentiate different types of 3D printing technologies and bring home their 3D printed designs.

Bacterial Staining Technique

Bacterial cells are challenging to view under the microscope due to their need for colour and contrast. Researchers have been using several types of stains to make these cells visible. These staining procedures help study the morphology, dimensions, cell size and arrangement of bacteria, thereby enabling successful identification. The Gram staining method is one of the most commonly used procedures that help differentiate between gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

DNA fingerprinting is a laboratory chemical method used to identify an individual from a sample of DNA by looking at unique patterns in their DNA. DNA fingerprinting can be applied to a variety of situations including criminal investigations and for forensic purposes, establish paternity and parentage, study biodiversity of species, track genetically-modified crops, and even to identify genetic conditions for disease prevention and cure.
